Position Overview
The Front Office Coordinator/HR Assistant ensures all office functions and tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently. Front desk coverage includes controlling access of visitors and vendors onto the premises, answering phones, greeting visitors and vendors, and handling various human resources functions including time and attendance verification and staffing agency communication and reporting. This position also provides administrative support to the executive team, requiring someone who takes initiative, has good judgement, and strong organization skills.
This role has a high level of direct contact and collaboration with customers, vendors, and visitors, and the successful candidate must always provide a professional, efficient, and better than expected level of service.
Job Responsibilities
- Screen and direct incoming calls
- Welcome and direct visitors and vendors Manage vendor relationships
- Manage timekeeping in ADP
- Review and approve daily timesheets submitted for staffing agency employees
- Provide translation of individual and small group conversations, investigations, public speaking engagements, and written correspondence
- Set up and maintain conference rooms for meetings, including managing lunch orders
- Create and maintain various database spreadsheets including daily labor reports, the phone extension list and employee purchases
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English and Spanish
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline, or equivalent education/work experience
- Two to Three years applicable experience in Administration or Human Resources
- Working knowledge of ADP’s timekeeping system
- Experience working in the food industry, preferable with a meat processing company
