Job Title: CNC Programmer/Operator/CAD
Location: Orlando, Florida 32805
Reports to: Supervisor
Position Overview: Under limited supervision, the CNC Programmer/Operator/CAD is responsible for creating AutoCAD drawings and functional programs for CNC lasers. They will also perform basic machine set-ups, adjustments, and operate metal fabricating equipment/machines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
AutoCAD Drawing:
- Create functional AutoCAD drawings, including flat 2D drawings.
- Determine bend allowances and create flat patterns for proper fabrication.
Blueprint Reading:
- Interpret fabrication blueprints and adhere to specified tolerances.
Machine Operation:
- Perform basic set-ups and adjustments on metal fabricating equipment, including:
- Shear
- Brake
- Punch
- Notcher
- Other Fabricating Equipment
- Perform basic set-ups and adjustments on metal fabricating equipment, including:
CAD Experience:
- Minimal experience with Inventor/AutoCAD preferred.
Programming:
- Make programming changes as required for CNC lasers.
Quality Control:
- Perform fit-up, assembly, and in-process quality checks.
Sheet Metal Fabrication:
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in various software, including Word and Excel.
Task Execution:
- Follow specific procedures to complete repetitive and semi-complex tasks.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Multitasking:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, with a technical background beneficial.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- General computer skills required.
- Training will be provided for candidates with the right foundational knowledge.
