As a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Cross Domain Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Army Cross Domain Management Office.

This role is supporting the US Army, so an Army background is preferred, but not required (DoD guidance experience with the Army and the approval process is key).

Active DoD 8570 IAT level II is required.

As part of this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for crafting comprehensive cross-domain solutions briefings, information papers, and status reports essential for effective cross-domain solutions management activities and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of U.S. federal policies and procedures, including those set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Joint Staff, and DoD, to ensure compliance with cross-domain solutions usage within the Army's information technology architecture.
  • Provide expert insights and recommendations to enhance cross-domain solution processes in alignment with established policies and procedures, while meticulously tracking the progress of implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Government Team Lead to address cross-domain issues and execute necessary actions, ensuring timely resolution of challenges.
  • Evaluate approximately 70 proposed cross-domain solutions annually, engaging in weekly reviews to maintain a high standard of quality and security.
  • Represent the Army's perspective at monthly meetings, synthesizing key insights into executive summaries and information papers, and promptly address inquiries via email and telephone regarding cross-domain solutions utilized within the Army.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in System Engineering practices, encompassing system design, integration, verification, validation, and delivery, with a focus on multi-security domain network solutions.
  • Proficiency in navigating large, complex C4I System of Systems, demonstrating a keen understanding of command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), coupled with analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and effectively to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT level II certification and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, as required.
