As the Senior Manager, Construction, you will manage a team and lead a world class Real Estate Development program. You will manage multiple construction projects varying in scope of work on time and within budget. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Manage a team of construction managers and ensure company directives, goals, and guidelines are being implemented.
• Communicate and manage all issues and risks affecting the projects
• Communicate project status to project participants and internal departments accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement solutions to correct any deviation and or conflict
• Oversee the management of the the site Due Diligence process to ensure that all development risks are identified and quantified
• Manage the approval and permitting phase of the pre-construction process and ensure approvals are in line with company requirements and timeline
• Maintain positive relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure same
• Manage project submittals, RFI’s, and pay applications in a timely manner
• Ensure that the projects are effectively handed over to the company operations group from the contractor with completed documentation and close-out documents
• Ensure that the projected capital expenditure is under constant review and any anticipated deviations are highlighted and controlled
• Ensure that construction projects are in line with current environmental health & safety laws and internal company standards
• Use data to help improve decision making and work to become more cost effective
• Spot organizational inefficiencies and quickly identify solutions to those challenges.
• Lead team-wide meetings, assign tasks and workloads to employees, and foster collaboration among teams and across departments.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 5 years of experience leading construction projects
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• Familiarity with building systems
• The aptitude to perform semi-complex mathematical operations

It’d be great if you also have:

• 10 years project management experience

• Experience working Internationally

This job requires the ability to:

• Travel periodically as required for site/project meetings and real time updates

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.
Colorado annual salary range: $121,089 to $151,361
New York annual salary range: $126,855 to $158,569
California annual salary range: $132,621 to $165,777
Washington State annual salary range: $126,855 to $158,569
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role).
