Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.

Job Description
  • Implementation, maintenance and optimization of QC-relevant measurement systems and measurement methods.
  • Supervision of the measuring equipment used in the factory (e.g. ensuring functionality)
  • Independent programming (type and scope) of test systems and measuring devices (coordinate measuring devices, devices for function/force testing, etc.)
  • Qualification of test equipment for automated and non-automated test equipment (implementation and evaluation of measuring system analyses)
  • New development or optimization of measurement methods
  • Implementation of new measuring systems
  • Concept development and participation in the creation of test recordings
  • Support in the harmonization of measurement methods and test equipment (externally with customers and internally with other plants)
  • Support for related areas in the technical implementation of measurement tasks


Qualifications

This position requires knowledge as acquired within the framework of at least 3 years of technical vocational training and expanded through advanced training to become a technician or master craftsman.
  • This function requires special knowledge in the field of measurement technology (e.g. Aukom) and basic knowledge in quality management.
  • 3-4 years' experience using test methods and measurement technology
  • 2-3 years' experience using EDP/IT (in particular Office programs, MES, statistical software, programming languages)
  • 1-2 years' experience dealing with technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g. products and processes)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Reliability
  • Solid knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Read and understand technical reports
  • Knowledge transfer (mediation, didactics)
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills
