Quality Inspector
If you have industry/trade experience, we welcome you to apply. Precision Edge would help you adapt your skills and you would be trained in precision measurement, problem solving, and blueprint reading and may advance within our company.
Responsibilities
• Compliance with all quality system procedures and Company safety requirements
• Advocating quality principles and practices
• Good housekeeping
• Inspection of product at Receiving and Production (In-process and Final) and distribution of daily
inspection activity reports
• Working with the Material Review Board to resolve customer and supplier quality issues
• Assisting with the development of inspection plans
• Complete First Article Inspections
• Complete shop floor audits
• Assisting in supplier audits when needed
• Review and verification of supplier submitted First Article parts and reports
• Train employees as needed
Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• A minimum of 1 (one) year experience in the inspection field or manufacturing using standard inspection
equipment and prints to determine conformance to requirements
Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting
• Must have vision correctable to 20/20
• Ability to distinguish color
• Must be able to interpret complex part drawings, including GD & T
• Understand the use and limitations of standard inspection measuring and test equipment
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must be available for all shifts
• Advanced Gage knowledge
