The Customs Broker needs to have a strong sense of compliance and customer service skills. They will play a pivotal role in the daily operation of Priority's Import department. The candidate must possess proven experience handling import files and a well-versed knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and classifications.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• U.S. Customs Broker License required
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the customs clearance, government regulations security, freight forwarding business, and Compliance Requirements
• Sound analytical abilities and acute attention to detail required
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Cargowise Software experience is preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Baltimore MD or Los Angels is preferred

What you will do…

They will be the driving force of the Import team ensuring all shipments are in compliance with company and federal regulations.

General Responsibilities:

• Monitor and handle import shipments to completion and adherence to quality standards including:
  • Appropriate and timely entry of all data (documents and notes) in CargoWise
• Oversee and process daily customs entries, ensuring:
  • Proper classification with complete information
  • Timely clearance
  • Handling of import customs files from A-to-Z
• Ensure carnets, licenses, etc. are properly maintained, tracked, and returned
• Processing of P99 and non-ABI manifest entries
• Ensure ITAR regulations are followed
• Ensure entry packets are sent timely to clients
• Active participation in team meetings
• Assist the Director of Compliance with customs declaration audits
• Assist other departments with duty classifications (exports, quotes, CSV, ect)
• Ensure vendor compliance with Priority Worldwide service standards
• Ensure internal compliance with the relevant regulatory agencies
• Comply and promote Priority Worldwide's mission to provide The Ultimate Customer Experience
• Member of after hours on call team as needed for customs entries

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

• Salary $55,000-$75,000 annually, depending on experience
