You will work onsite in our Holly Springs, NC location and will report to the Seqirus Head of Legal, Region Americas by supporting the legal needs of Seqirus in the Americas Region. The Senior Counsel responsible for providing comprehensive legal support for influenza vaccine manufacturing operations in Holly Springs, NC. Provide legal advice to the pandemic influenza vaccine business, including US Government contracts. Provide legal advice to certain ex-US commercial teams, including those in Argentina and Canada. . Responsibilities:

• Provide informed, applicable legal support and strategic counsel for US operations of CSL Seqirus at its manufacturing facility in Holly Spring, North Carolina, to the pandemic business, and certain ex-US commercial teams.
• You will work with members of Holly Springs site leadership team and all levels of US manufacturing operations, and advise business leaders on a broad range of legal issues related to the activities of a pharmaceutical manufacturing business.
• Stay up to date and informed on relevant legal and regulatory issues at the state and federal level to inform clients and help them anticipate and prepare for changes in the environment that may materially help manufacturing operations.
• Review, draft and negotiate many contracts, including non-standard service agreements, supply agreements, capital project contracts, equipment purchase agreements, tech transfer agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Provide support and legal advice to the pandemic vaccine business, including by advising on US government contract issues.
• Collaborate with Argentinian legal counsel to provide legal advice to commercial and commercial development teams, which will include out-licensing agreements and tech transfer agreements.
• Provide commercial legal advice to Canadian commercial operations on all legal issues affecting the Canadian influenza vaccine business, including review of promotional materials, advice on competition law issues, and contracting issues.
• Be a local employment law resource and first contact for HR in Holly Springs.
• Partner with the Compliance Department to help ensure business processes and activities are and remain in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, and to maintain open avenues of communication among Legal, Compliance, and the business.
• Develop and deliver training on legal matters.
• Provide legal advice and support in connection with non-routine special projects, such as business development activities and other strategic transactions involving CSL Seqirus and our affiliates.
• Support Legal department projects.
• Coordinate work with outside counsel or assigned.
• Build good working relationships with internal clients based on mutual trust and respect and knowledge of our business and its needs and goals.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 10 years applicable Legal and/or Compliance experience required, including at least 8 supporting a pharmaceutical or device company, either as in-house or external counsel.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience in some or all of the following areas: promotional review, commercial contracting, operational contracting, government contracting and/or FAR, pharmaceutical or device compliance, government/internal investigations, employment law, and/or commercial and product-liability litigation

Pending the candidate experience, the title of your role could be Senior or Lead.
