Medical Surgical Unit - Registered Nurse - Full-time

Experience:

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license in hand at the time of application.

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Start Date: Every other Monday

Travelers may be required to float to other units within their scope

Must give IV chemotherapy and administer IV chemotherapy

IV Insertion

PICC/Central Line Management

Epidural/PCA pumps

Feeding Tubes

Wound Vac

Ideally we would like to have a candidate(s) that are credentialed to administer chemo/immunotherapy medications. Any med/surg traveler can fill the vacancies but I would prefer to have someone that is able to administer chemotherapy.

Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Cancer diagnosis (including some chemotherapy), palliative/end of life care, general med/surg - wound care, IV antibiotics, renal/kidney injury, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, ortho/general/urology surgeries post operative
