Schools - Behavior Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments to determine the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
• Provide ongoing training and support to school staff and families on effective behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to ensure the successful implementation of behavior intervention plans.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessment findings, intervention plans, and progress monitoring data.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges in a school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
