Job Details



Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, forecasting, and budgeting.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies to support company objectives.
3. Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Evaluate and manage risk, perform financial analysis, and provide strategic financial planning.
5. Collaborate with senior management to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide budgetary control.
6. Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
7. Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
8. Stay up-to-date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
9. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
10. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role in the construction or similar industry
3. Proven experience in financial project management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
4. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
5. Proficient in accounting software -Timberline, Sage a huge plus
6. Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
7. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
9. High attention to detail and accuracy
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
11. A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the President, the responsibility for financial management.
