Position Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for all accounting functions and financial record keeping for our client and its related divisions Serves as a liaison and partner between each client department, organization leadership, and CEO.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepares financial reports:
· Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Budget for all divisions.
· Reconciles cash receipts with front desk register.
· Prepares financial statements, budget, budget comparatives for the Finance Committee, Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
· Performs all banking functions for our client and related division bank accounts. This includes deposits, transfers, monthly reconciliations.
· Verifies personnel payroll related records processed by third party PEO: Timecards, payroll withholding, retirement/401K, vacation/sick time, commissions, mileage and expense reimbursement. Ensures compliance with labor laws.
· Prepares annual budget and forecasts, and monitors performance ongoing.
· Maintains files of accounts payable, W-9’s and produces annual 1099’s as required by IRS regulations.
· Assists staff with financial reporting of special events. Oversees receipt and disbursement of funds.
· Reconciles receipts and disbursement with program coordinators.
· Prepares statement of income and expenses for each event.
· Assists staff with financial oversight and reporting of grants when applicable.
· Oversees receipt and tracking of funds.
· Prepares statement of income and expenses for each.
· Works with outside accounting firm on annual review/audit.
· Provides political action financials to outsourced accountant.
· Issues cash disbursement checks for signing and maintains vendor files.
· Maintains record for petty cash disbursements.
· Maintains accurate files of all financial records, related correspondence and general information pertaining to daily bookkeeping activities.
· Prepares monthly membership invoicing, membership dues statements, credit card and ACH payment processing for various members.
· Prepares state and city sales tax reports.
· May attend and assist with registration and check in at various client events and member networking events.
· Greeting visitors and guests.
· May screen telephone calls and visitors and direct to appropriate team member.
· This position has frequent interaction with, but is not limited to, employees, business leaders, elected officials, members and non-members, donors, visitors, and community residents.
· Utilizes the client’s “members only” database.
· Supports all team members.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Attributes
• Bilingual preferred
• High school diploma / G.E.D. / Accounting classes and/or experience
• Technical Skills.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Online QuickBooks.
• Efficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Organizational skills: ability to prioritize, follow up and multi-task.
• Must be able to sit and work comfortably at a desk station for extended time periods.
• Must be able to drive to appointments out of the office.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Work Location: Modesto, CA.
Physical Abilities
Must be able to sit at and operate a computer workstation and occasionally lift loads of up to 20 pounds.
Salary
Salary based on experience and qualifications. Salary range $23 to $25 per hr..
