Medical Secretary

Introduction:

TEKsystems is currently hiring for a Medical Secretary. This is an onsite position located in Downtown Baltimore, MD to assist patients in a positive and smooth experience. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a corporate company. This role offers great work life balance, as well as offers lots of room to grow into leadership!

Description:

• Will be utilizing EPIC software to schedule patients.
• Greet patients and customers as they enter the practice.
• Answer phones.
• Will be getting pre-authorizations for insurance for patients before them come in for surgeries, appointments, check ups.
• Will be calling Dr offices/hospitals for pre-op results.
• Will be verifying insurance on a daily basis.
• Must be very knowledgeable in insurance companies and the process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous EPIC experience is preferred.
• Must have great customer service skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a high volume DR office.
• Must be familiar with insurance/pre-auth process.
