Hybrid Staff Accountant I - Payroll and Payables (St. Louis, MO)

Our client, who was founded in 1903 are a faith-based foundation that help children and families across three states by providing support and resources that will allow them to thrive and succeed.

This position will be for the St. Louis, MO office, so you must live in the St. Louis, MO area since it is Hybrid, not fully remote.

They are currently looking to add a full-time Staff Accountant – Payroll & Payables to their team in St. Louis, MO. This is a Hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 to 3-days in office with the rest being able to work from home once the first 90 days training is completed. This position will report to the Director of Accounting in the Texas office. 

Pay ranges from $46k to $50k

The Staff Accounts Payroll & Payables primary responsibilities will be processing payroll using the Paylocity payroll software, as well as responsible for processing accounts payable for assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Enters payroll information and maintains records
• Requires collaboration with human resources ensuring new hires and terminations are processed properly
• Reviewing invoices for coding
• Processing employee expense reports
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, analysis and audits

Minimum Requirements Include:

• High school diploma, required; vocational and/or some college work preferred
• 3 years payroll experience working with the same company of 200+ employees, required
• Experience with Paylocity, Financial Edge Accounting system, Microsoft suite with strong work in Excel, and Adobe
