We are currently hiring for a skilled Residential Maintenance Technician. As a Residential Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of our residential properties. You will be responsible for addressing a wide range of maintenance issues promptly and efficiently, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing leaks, replacing light fixtures, and unclogging drains
- Conduct inspections of residential units to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems to address heating and cooling issues efficiently
- Repair or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and fixtures as needed
- Perform carpentry work such as installing cabinets, repairing doors, and replacing window screens
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff, prioritizing urgent issues
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal maintenance tasks as required
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of tenants and staff
Qualifications:
- Vocational or technical training in maintenance or related field preferred
- Willing to submit to pre-employment background and drug screening
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a residential setting
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems and repair techniques
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
