Assembly Technician - $20/hr. - 1st Shift - Full-time / Part-time

e are seeking candidates to fill several “1st Shift Assembler Level I” positions at a local commercial pipe and valve manufacturer. 

Basic Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Must be able to read and use a caliper, micrometers, and vernier scale 
• Working in a moderately paced manufacturing facility  
• Assist in operating various machines and equipment  
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, and work area 
• Assist other team members with daily setup and break down for production 
• Must be willing and able to use equipment that can be physically demanding 
• Regularly reading orders and verifying accuracy by using tape measures, gauges and other test equipment 
• Learn and Execute elements of Safe Assembly Practices involving 2”-36” Assembly to include OGS as well AGS. 
• Stacking, wrapping and preparing product/orders for shipping 

 

Requirements:  

• Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment is preferred 
• Computer literacy of Microsoft Windows software is preferred 
• Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes 
• Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and ability to read tape measure, and measuring tools (caliper, micrometers, vernier scale) preferred 
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints desired 
• Good written and oral communication skills required 
• Willing to submit to a background and drug screening
