The Fort Branch Yoked Parish (https://www.facebook.com/UCCStLucas/), comprising two evangelical churches, is seeking a Pastor.

Overview

The Fort Branch Yoked Parish comprises St. Paul’s and St. Lucas United Church of Christ (UCC). Our churches are situated in the rural community of Fort Branch, Indiana, in the southwestern part of the state. While we are presently affiliated with the UCC, we have also aligned ourselves with the Evangelical Association. Currently, we are in search of a devoted and compassionate full-time pastor who can guide us. With deep-rooted traditions, we seek a pastor who can lead us confidently into the future. Our congregation spans various age groups, and we are in need of someone who can effectively connect with individuals of all ages.

The Candidate

Fort Branch UCC Yoked Parish seeks a spiritual leader who will encourage and inspire growth and participation in the life of the church. We recognize our obligation to reach beyond our congregation and serve the community. We seek a pastor who can help us grow in our individual faith, strengthen our commitment to the Lord’s work, and provide steadfast pastoral care and support.

We pray that our pastor will be dedicated to care of the sick and elderly of our congregation and others in need of personal support. We seek a pastor with strong personal faith, who has the strength to minister to those suffering from loss and provide support to those in need.

· Ability to help our congregation review and strengthen its vision for ministry.

· Ability to develop a caring pastoral relationship with both congregations.

· Ability to prioritize and multitask pastoral responsibilities.

Compensation:

Parsonage is available at St. Lucas if needed. Parsonage is located on church property at St. Lucas. There is also peer and professional support available for ministers in our association, and we are willing to be flexible and work with our pastor.

Salary Basis: $51,000 + $9,000 Housing (if needed) = $60,000 annually

· Travel Reimbursement: Based upon current IRS mileage reimbursement guidelines

· Vacation: Three (3) Weeks annually

· Costs for tuition, travel, book allowance, and lodging associated with Continuing Education (i.e. classes at Eden Seminary etc.)

· All costs to include travel and lodging associated with attending United Church of Christ/ Indiana Kentucky Conference meeting

· Background check reimbursement
