FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN
Monday - Friday
5:00 am - 6:00 pm
$14.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks at various stages of the meat processing operations, including receiving, processing, packaging, and distribution.
  • Perform visual inspections, sensory evaluations, and laboratory testing of meat products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and compliance documentation.
  • Generate reports summarizing findings and recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor critical control points in the production process to prevent contamination, ensure food safety, and maintain product integrity.
  • Identify deviations from quality standards or process specifications and work collaboratively with production staff to address issues promptly and effectively.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments, and sensory evaluation tools to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or education or training in food science, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or meat processing is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise and accurate measurements and evaluations.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP regulations, and GMP standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
