Title: Construction Safety ManagerJob Summary:
Gottstein Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Construction Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs in compliance with OSHA, to ensure a secure and safe work environment on the job sites.
Responsibilities:- Safety Program Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
- Site Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with project managers to address and rectify safety concerns.
- Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for construction site personnel.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Incident Investigation:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents and their resolutions.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in safety regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites.
- Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Professional certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or similar are preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities to foster a strong safety culture.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
