About us: Oasis River Recovery (ORR) is a mindfulness-based treatment center that incorporates evidence-based practices in combination with holistic healing techniques to give folks a full circle of recovery not only from addiction but the causes that led to the unhelpful coping mechanisms in the first place. At Oasis, we believe that treating a person intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually will lead to sustainable and worthwhile long-term recovery.

Position Summary: Our Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to both clients and staff. The primary responsibilities of a BHT are to help facilitate the daily facility and client schedule, monitor clients presence through rounds, assist in the initial intake process, work collaboratively with the treatment team, and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in client intake and orientation processes, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed about the treatment program.
  • Help facilitate the daily schedule of Oasis River Recovery and support daily operations tasks as needed.
  • Conduct random urinalysis drug testing twice weekly and as outlined procedurally.
  • Monitor client’s presence through rounds, observe and document client behaviors, symptoms, and progress as directed by the treatment team.
  • Provide supervision and support to clients at the facility. Offer clients guidance about recovery using the 12-step model, Refuge Recovery, or other established models when appropriate.
  • Encourage clients to participate in treatment plans and attend scheduled therapy and educational sessions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including counselors, medical and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Participate in team meetings and all required trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements. Maintain clear, professional and appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Available Schedules:

  • 1st Shift (6:30 AM - 5 PM)
  • 2nd Shift (11:30 AM-10 PM or 9 AM-9 PM)
  • Night Shift (7 PM -7 AM or 9:30 PM-8 AM)
  • Weekend Availability
  • Work Location: On Site, Oasis River Recovery

Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Complete and pass pre-employment requirements, such as a background check and drug test, as outlined by HCANA policies.
  • Understanding of the 12-steps, Refuge Recovery as well as relevant recovery literature and principles of any other established support models.
  • Ability to set priorities, maintain accurate medical records on each client in accordance with the treatment plan and facility policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently.
