International Decorators is 100% employee owned. We are one of Northern Illinois’ largest drywall, acoustical ceiling, window treatment and painting contractors. We are an employee-owned construction business that specializes in metal stud framing, drywall hanging and taping, window treatments, metal roof trusses, acoustical/specialty ceilings, interior/exterior painting, and wall covering.  We are seeking a Driver to work in our Barrington, IL office.

 

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Drivers must have valid state issued driver’s license and safe driving record for the past three years.
  • Drivers need to be punctual and on time for their assigned duties. Early morning start times
  • Must be 19 or older
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug screens
  • Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to work OT when required
  • Candidate must be organized, pay attention to detail, possess good communication skills and project a positivity in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of the construction field is a plus

 

Description

  • Drivers are responsible for delivering building material to job sites as directed around the Chicagoland area.
  • Operate a delivery vehicle safely to and from jobsites while obeying all traffic laws.
  • Deliver the correct materials and equipment in the correct quantities to the jobsite.
  • Drivers must also complete and process paperwork daily and adhere to all company directives.
  • Drivers are required to keep his/her company assigned truck clean, washed and in good working order and report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed.
  • When performing a job clean off, drivers must ensure to remove all materials not used, scrap material and make sure all company equipment is accounted for.
  • Be prepared for work with the proper work clothes and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  PPE is provided.
