Custodian

Job Summary:
La Mère Academy is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Leander, Texas. As a custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our academy, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and students.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, to ensure all areas of the academy are clean and tidy
- Clean and sanitize restrooms on a regular basis
- Empty and sanitize trash and recycling bins
- Refill supplies, such as soap and paper towels, in restrooms and common areas
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify the management team when supplies need to be replenished
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the management team
- Assist with setup and breakdown for events or meetings
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a healthy and safe environment
- Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience
- Ability to work independently and follow schedules and instructions
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and products
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
