Field Technician (Meter Installer)-Havre

Pay: $24.34 per hour PLUS an Incentive Based Pay Program with a yearly pay increase.

Shift: Full-Time, 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Main Duties:

1. Will be required to join IBEW Union Local 44 Electric Union.
2. Reading/installing gas and electric meters for a local utility company and entering data into handheld computers.
3. Driving up to 50 miles per day to assigned work territory (Company Vehicle provided for work use only, employees will need reliable transportation to and from work daily)
4. Prior experience reading maps helpful but not required.
5. Ability to walk 2 miles per day in all types of terrain and weather conditions
6. Ability to deal with wildlife and animals is required.

Work Requirements:

• Provide a VALID, Unexpired Driver’s License
• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalency required

Pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record screenings will be completed.

Job Details:

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift (8AM to 5PM)

This is a contracted position that is due to complete in October of 2024.

Physical Requirements:

Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day; carry up to 20lbs of equipment; be able to effectively communicate with customers in a courteous manner displaying excellent customer service and perform other duties as assigned; Perform all work in a safe manner; Observe and follow all company/client procedures; Possess excellent customer service/communication skills; Be available for overtime (which may include weekends); Be comfortable using computers/technology.

Pay & Benefits:

Starting Wage is $23.40 per hour plus Bonus Incentive Plan with a yearly pay increase.
