Job Description

This is a Remote position in the Sales Department and reporting directly to the Director of Sales for North America, you will find new business leads focusing on the food production market to achieve ambitious sales targets through a methodic and expert approach.

**Incumbent must be located in California**

As a Business Development Manager at QIMA, Food Division, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Find/ hunt for new clients, and work closely with our Operations and Marketing Teams to grow existing relationships.
  • Develop your own clients’ portfolio: your typical client will be any company growing, packing, processing, storing, cooling, or harvesting of fresh produce, importing, or exporting companies (ranging from fruits and vegetables to processed food products).  Focus in certain schemes and products may be assigned to align with the company goals and markets.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline that aligns with your targets for the current year and the next.
  • Develop and implement your sales plan, tracking progress in a CRM system.
  • Identify and nurture your prospects, maintaining good contact with them, and successfully closing deals
  • Encourage our existing clients to consider additional services, politely encourage them to use our services more often, and make sure they’re making the best use of the tools we provide them (such as our online dashboard)
  • Represent the company at tradeshows, webinars, or as needed.
  • Travel to visit our clients on the West Coast and attend events as needed per company request.

 

Qualifications

WHAT IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE?

  • Proficiency in B2B sales with a minimum experience of 3 years.
  • A solid command over the English language. Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills with a knack for building diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • A background in product testing, inspection, and audit industry, as well as an understanding of global trade issues, would be highly beneficial. *This individual will be focused on Food Safety audits, GFSI recognized schemes.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to manage schedules autonomously and to effectively delegate and guide internal teams.
  • Proven track record in sales, with a talent for identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as managing a client portfolio.
  • Remarkable negotiation skills, with an ability to effectively interact in various cultural scenarios.
