Job Description

Family owned insurance agency with two office locations in Central New York / Syracuse area seeking candidate looking for professional career in well established third generation insurance agency business. Prior insurance experience is preferred but not required. Agency will provide all necessary training to candidates who do not have any prior insurance experience. This is a customer service & account manager position (not a sales position) but additional compensation is available based on number of accounts sold to new clients each month from incoming quote requests received from agency's marketing program. Employer will pay for all training and state licensing costs. Flexibility to work remote and on site (hybrid) after initial training with excellent opportunity for long term career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Process client policy change requests. and assist clients with billing inquiries and policy payments.
  • Provides quotes to prospective clients who contact the agency.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and return phone messages promptly.
  • Understand insurance company auto, home and other personal insurance type products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Possess a sense of urgency with ability to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, self-starter with problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • A Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred but not required. Employer will pay for all training and licensing coursework.
  • Professional phone and office etiquette.
  • Great Customer Service Skills.
