This Santa Maria-based medical group is seeking a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Controller, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial operations within the organization. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, and demonstrated experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry. Requirements:



Job Summary- The Controller position will be tasked with managing and overseeing the financial operations of the medical group, guaranteeing accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Your expertise in healthcare finance and accounting principles will be essential for maintaining precise financial records and adhering to regulatory requirements.


Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Five+ years of progressive responsible experience in a senior level accounting/finance position preferred. Preference given to candidates with healthcare experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to the medical industry to promote efficient financial management.

• Manage and lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets for the organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Oversee day to day accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cash flow management.

• Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take direction, prioritize, project manage and be well organized.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

• Proficient in utilizing accounts receivable software and managing client billing processes.

• Reviews contracts for compliance with contract terms and reviews prospective contracts.

• Provides leadership in developing financial systems, by either repairing or replacing those currently in place.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Assume additional duties as appropriate to the position.


Pay is market competitive and negotiable based on your experience $100k-$130k
