Now Hiring for a Commercial HVAC Contract Sales/Business Development Manager in the Charleston, SC area.

We are looking for an energetic, competitive, and customer-focused sales person to open new business and maximize current customer satisfaction. As our Service Sales Representative you will seek out new business opportunities to sell maintenance agreements as well as increase business with current customers through a consultative sales approach that reduces their operating costs.

What you will do

  • Seek out new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting and networking.
  • Qualify sales opportunities by developing relationships with building owners and high level decision makers.
  • Sell HVAC preventative maintenance agreements and other services to commercial customers.
  • Use sales and account management processes to consult with customers to decrease their operating expenses through system efficiency and energy conservation proposals.
  • Survey and appraise mechanical systems (including HVAC and Building Automation Systems).
  • Prepare solutions, estimates, proposals and presentations.
  • Aggressively manage proposals to close sales.
  • Maintain an active backlog of proposals to assure your annual booking goal is met.
  • Achieve annual sales targets in your assigned territory.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Communicate effectively both externally and internally.
  • Provide management with required sales reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Key Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have 2 years of HVAC sales experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business related field preferred but not required.
  • Able to travel on a limited but regular basis.
  • Clean driving record.
  • New Employee and Random drug testing required.
  • Proficient in PC based computer systems and software.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Basic finance, accounting and technical knowledge.
