Job Title: Prep Cook
Job Summary:
As a prep cook, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Your role is essential in ensuring the efficient flow of operations in the kitchen and the timely delivery of high-quality dishes to customers.

Job Title: Prep Cook
Job Summary:
As a prep cook, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Your role is essential in ensuring the efficient flow of operations in the kitchen and the timely delivery of high-quality dishes to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, dice, and otherwise prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and chef's instructions.
- Stock Management: Assist in managing inventory levels by keeping track of ingredient quantities and notifying the kitchen manager or chef when supplies are running low.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, such as knives, cutting boards, and food preparation surfaces, deep fryers, etc. to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures, including temperature monitoring, labeling, and storage of prepared ingredients.
- Assistance to Cooks: Support the cooking team by providing them with prepped ingredients in a timely manner and assisting with basic cooking tasks as needed.
- Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen workspace, including storage areas, refrigerators, and food preparation stations, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.
- Adherence to Recipes: Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Flexibility: Be willing to assist with various tasks in the kitchen as needed, including dishwashing, plating, and food service during peak hours.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including those related to food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required. Banquet Experience a Plus.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors.
Education:
