PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Summary/Objective

The ability to work efficiently to achieve goals and meet deadlines is a must as this person will coordinate the entire vendor and customer credit process.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and track all vendor return credits, to include monitoring return restocking and freight charges.

  • Requesting return authorization for damaged, defective, dead or overstock materials.

  • Filing and follow-through freight claims for damaged, short and missing materials.

  • Approve all non-stock, direct, and customer credits including restock and freight charges when necessary.

  • Enter return-to-vendor purchase orders, receive, and reconcile the return.

  • Track freight and restocking charges.

  • Maintain defective bins at all locations and process monthly returns on schedule.

  • Negotiate and resolve freight disputes and problems with preferred carrier.

  • Assist buyers in coordinating monthly/semi-annual returns, ensuring correct procedures are followed.

  • Develop positive relationships with vendors.

  • Support all the company-endorsed product lines with focus on I-MARK manufacturers.

  • Work closely with all internal departments, combining efforts to better serve the customer.

  • Perform other duties as obvious or assigned.
