Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Reports To: General Manager
Exemption Status: Hourly non-exempt

The Assistant Store Manager’s overall responsibility is to assist the General Manager in leading guest and employee experiences that drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results that maximize store performance. This role requires open work availability, which may include weekends and holidays. As a part of the overall role, there are three major areas of responsibility and Core Values: People, Inventory and Operations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

People: Development and Team Building

•\tAssist in training new hires and development of team retention of top talent.
•\tAids in setting the culture and standard of team performance.
•\tCollaborates with General Manager to set goals that are specific and actionable based on established KPI’s.
•\tSets example by demonstrating personal guest service selling skills.
•\tAssist General Manager with schedules for retail and DYO team members.
•\tFacilitates team-selling skills to deliver outstanding guest customer experience utilizing training materials provided.
•\tConsistently building employee knowledge base by engaging in continuous education, LMS, role playing, cross training and effective delegation of tasks.
•\tExecutes and embodies Goo Goo Cluster Core values.
•\tRecognize performance issues and communicate details to General Manager in a timely manner.
•\tPartner with General Manager on action plans based on Department of Responsibility (DOR) to exceed sales goals/plans.

People: Leadership and Communication

•\tCommunicates successes, opportunities, and solutions to General Manager.
•\tIs a leader among peers.
•\tParticipates and fully engages in conference calls, rallies, and team meetings.
•\tInspires and motivates team by demonstrating the highest level of personal performance.
•\tMaintain high level of integrity (e.g., adhering to loss prevention practices, inventory control, work published schedule, accurate time keeping records, ect.) and expects the same from their team.

Inventory: Merchandising and Sales

•\tParticipates in merchandising sets to ensure they are executed on time and within allowable time.
•\tKnow best sellers, the required placement and ensure sales are above company goals.
•\tEnsure products are neat, clean, and organized.
•\tAchieve average dollar sale (ADS), items per customer
•\t(IPC), and multiple item percentage at a minimum of meet expectations standards.
•\tPartner with Stockroom Lead to ensure efficient inventory control processes and solutions.

Operations: Inventory Control

•\tOversee and assist Stockroom Lead manage inventory according to Goo Goo Cluster inventory practices.
•\tMaintain a neat, clean, and organized store location.
•\tManage all aspects of Loss Prevention and adhere to external and internal procedures for theft, inventory management and operations controls.
•\tHold self and team accountable for high standards of compliance.
•\tEnsure retail floor is staffed properly during peak business and closing shifts.
•\tAbility to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
