HVAC Mechanic

Texas Trades has partnered with a well established and busy HVAC sub-contractor that is in need for a HVAC Mechanic with experience in Commercial projects and working with sheet metal.

Project will be 10 months duration.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and assignments
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on HVAC systems
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles and practices
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with Van driving and plumbing techniques
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- Ability to design and fabricate HVAC components
- Skilled in welding and other mechanical repairs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
