Stock Helper

Description:

• A Stock Helper is responsible for work associated with the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in a warehouse environment. Specific Stock Helper functions include but are not limited to the following activities:
• Loading/unloading of material using a forklift
• Handling, restocking, or scrapping of returned material
• Receiving/inspecting incoming materials to verify the quantity and condition of goods
• Selects and issues items from stock, sorts and identifies materials to be stocked
• Separates and prepares materials for receipt inspection
• Performs SAP system computer functions, some through handheld scanners
• Assist with physical inventory of material
• Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned/needed.
• Operates the following equipment: Forklifts, handheld scanners, personnel cart, shrink-wrapper machine, and large electric scrubber/sweeper machines
• Organizes and files daily paperwork/receipts associated with materials;
• Strong organizational skills are needed in order to manage the volume of paperwork;
• Analyze data in Microsoft Excel for material deliveries;
• Must be extremely safety conscious and work within Safety Guidelines and expectations.
• Must be available, as needed, during emergency restorations (due to events such as hurricanes, etc.) and after-hour emergencies.

A Stock Helper must possess the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• A valid driver's license required
• Ability to be available for overtime required
• Prior experience using a computer required
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of SAP/other inventory software preferred
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work in a physically demanding work environment that will require frequent lifting, bending, squatting, standing, and carrying materials
• Must have the ability to occasionally manually lift materials up to 75 pounds
• Maintenance and housekeeping of warehouse and yard; work inside and outside in changing weather conditions which may include inclement weather.

A Stock Helper must adhere to the Guidelines for Attendance for Hourly Employees along with maintaining a minimum of a 30%callout for overtime per the Overtime-Joint Action Team document. Due to weight limits, a weight restriction of 290 pounds applies.

Top (At Least 3 If Possible) Must Have Skill Sets (Technical/Functional):

• Valid driver's license
• Fork-lift certification
• Able to lift 75 lbs

Top Nice-To-Have Skill Sets:

•  Fork-lift experience

Soft Skill Requirements:

• Good customer service

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Additional Expensible items:

•  Need composite or steel-toe shoes
• Not DE vehicle, but DE forklift

Duration: 6 months contract (ONSITE)

Monday - Friday 7 PM - 3:30 PM
