Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work, with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and high voltage systems.
Responsibilities:
· Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
· Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
· Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as motors, switches, and wiring.
· Install new electrical systems and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
· Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects and tasks.
· Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Must possess good mathematical skills.
· Must be able to assess a situation and come up with a solution under the guidance of the Supervisor.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Must have the strength and flexibility to perform the above-mentioned duties and be able to lift 75 lbs.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize under the guidance of the Supervisor.
· Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role.
· Strong knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems.
· Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.
· Familiarity with high voltage systems (480V and above).
· Experience working with logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
· Ability to use power tools and other electrical testing devices effectively.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
· Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.

· Valid US issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol tests.
· Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required/assigned.

The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
