Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

DIRECT HIRE - Shelby Twp (100% ONSITE)

AUTOMATION ASSEMBLY & EQUIPMENT DESIGN EXPERIENCE MANDATORY.

PAY: 100K-110K/yr

EXPOSURE:

Project based, Machine Design/ Design of cranes, SPM, Material Handling Systems, Gantry Systems, Conveying Systems, Assembly Line Automation, Well versed with ERP, MS Office. Design Tool - Solid Edge /AutoCAD/FEMAP

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Planning and Control of Design Process as per organization system requirement. Review of Completeness and correctness of Design. Engineering support for WP USA operations and technical issue resolution

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design Optimization, Cost reduction, Process Improvement, Product Standardization.

• Planning of Design release

• Verification of equipment design, Identifying scope of improvement.

• Design time planning, monitoring, review, checking and issue solution of tasks.

• System integration Design and concept

• Stack up and Budget Preparation and Evaluation

• Cross Functional Leadership for Leading Technical Task

• Creation and Execution of Test Plan for System performance and Issue resolution during Same

• PCA/RCA of the Engineering/technical issues

• Verification AND Validation

• Absorption of new technologies and engineering tools

• Reports:Daily time sheet update, Daily Planning, review and update MPT for tasks and issues. Daily monitoring of design releases

• Meetings: Meeting with resources for active task management. Meeting with manager/project manager. Meeting with detailing team for Handover and CCR. Meeting with Build and vendor team at shop floor Planning, Clarity, Review, Issue update at shop floor. Meeting with customer for design discussion and approval (as per instruction from manager)

EDUCATION:

• Associate/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Design Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
