Job Title: Human Resources Recruiter

Reports to: Human Resources Manager – North America

Classification: Exempt

Summary:

This position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies. Provide initiative to creatively attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This is an exempt position with high accountability for corporate image, integrity, and results, which at times may mean extraordinary effort, extensive travel and/or working timeframes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the primary duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  1. Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment.
  2. Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  3. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  4. Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  5. Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  6. Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  7. Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  8. Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  9. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  10. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  11. Maintain and build relationships with 3rd party recruiters.
  12. Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:

  1. This position requires a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in a related human resources position.
  2. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  5. Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  6. Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  7. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  9. Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  10. Minimum 3 managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position requires sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally requires standing, squatting, reaching, and bending. Requires the ability to receive information through oral communication both in-person and on the phone. Manual dexterity is needed for using the computer keyboard. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Must have adequate vision to operate computer and complete paperwork.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as an assigned workstation, computer, phone, copier and file cabinet.
