Paragon Prep is looking to add an Infant Teacher to our team! The Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing and safe setting for infants 6 months to 12 months. This position will develop and implement age-appropriate programs and activities, provide guidance to support the physical, mental, and emotional development of the children. The Teacher will work collaboratively with your partner Teacher to create a positive learning environment.

 About the Role:

  • Provide an environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful of the children.
  • Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum
  • Give bottles to infants as provided.
  • Change diapers as needed.
  • Supervise toddlers as they play with age-appropriate toys.
  • Monitor toddlers at nap time.
  • Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean.
  • Work with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive and quality learning environment.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding staff and family information.
  • Be present at work to provide consistency of services.

 What we are looking for:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED; one or more years of college preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
  • Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers.
  • Possess or able to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Advanced Lifesaving
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • This position requires considerable flexibility and patience.
  • Must be able to fulfill the physical demands of the position, i.e., able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds. Some balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling will be required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
