TruckPro is seeking a Trailer - Driveline Technician who is committed to repairing light duty trailers (various models) to specific customer and industry-standard specifications. This role will also perform driveline repairs.

Trailer - Driveline Technician Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems (lighting, electric brakes)
  • Replace axles, electric and hydraulic brake assemblies, and trailer fenders
  • Repair trailer suspension (welding hanger brackets, replacing leaf springs)
  • Repair or replace trailer couplers and jacks
  • Perform basic welding functions
  • Assemble and disassemble drivelines; wash parts and inspect parts, discarding damaged parts
  • Take micrometer measurement of flywheels; regrind flywheel to specifications
  • Reassemble, time and balance as needed
  • Tag and place units in inventory for customer pick-up
  • Inform customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and possible changes
  • Submit work orders for invoicing
  • Maintain inventory and supplies
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts
  • Clean work area as required and maintain equipment
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards

Successful Trailer-Driveline Technician Will Have:

  • Minimum 1 year technician experience with light-duty trailer repairs preferred, not required
  • Basic tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities (TruckPro offers a tool purchase reimbursement program)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
