About the Job

We have a Full-Time opening for an IT Help Desk Specialist I at our Lane Service Center in Springfield, Oregon. The IT Help Desk Specialist I provides a range of computer technical support. This position will be responsible for responding to Helpdesk tickets, providing support in person, over the phone, over video conferencing, or via remote access; diagnosing issues with computer software, peripherals, and hardware; talking employees through basic problem-solving processes; installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software systems; provide basic computer training; write training manuals; following up with employees; troubleshoot, configure, upgrade networking devices in a mixed environment of Windows and Mac Operating systems.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full Time, Day)

What You’ll Make

$22.00-$25.00 per hour DOE/Credentials

Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

What You’ll Need

  • Associate degree in information technology or systems is highly preferred OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Six months experience troubleshooting and providing IT helpdesk support to end users is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Mac computers is a plus.


Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.


Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers. It may require the ability to occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
