The Machinist role might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- US Citizenship due to government contract (required)
- 6 months manufacturing experience, technical training, military training experience, or completion of Certified Manufacturing Specialist Program
- 1 year of CNC machine operator experience that would include, but not limit to retooling, minor maintenance, changeovers, and first article inspection.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Use blueprints, sketches, computer-aided design (CAD) and work instructions to produce precision parts.
- Produce parts that meet required machine output specifications while maintaining high production rates.
- Perform precise measurements for cutting/shaping tasks.
- Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot, and appropriately adjust inputs to correct any issues outside specified tolerances. Work on and with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Lathes/MCL (Material Control Lab) machines and/or equipment.
- Review and understand blueprints, drawings, and/or written instructions to understand the machine output specifications
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
- Perform basic shop math, use precision measurement instruments and metrology tools.
- Assist in the development of other team members.
