The Housekeeping Coordinator at American Airlines – The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the housekeeping department and supporting the managers, supervisors, and team members in achieving the highest quality of cleanliness and service to guests.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain a professional, warm, and friendly working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, team members and other departments.
  • Use proper two-way radio and/or cell phone etiquette when communicating with other team members.
  • Ensure all guest calls are completed within a timely manner and follow up to ensure satisfaction; as well as answer all housekeeping phones ensuring messages are directed to the proper person.
  • Keep workspace clean and free from clutter.
  • Utilize and maintain the time and attendance system and applicable property processes to schedule all department team members and department daily, weekly information to include all hours worked and modify information when applicable.
  • Maintain attendance tracking to ensure compliance with hotel attendance policy.
  • Manage temporary labor accounts for the Housekeeping department.
  • Provide clerical/secretarial and administrative support for the housekeeping department, including data input, filing, tracing, answering telephones, printing reports, payroll, and departmental records/logs. 
  • Run and maintain boards; keeping the supervisors up-to-date with arrivals, departures, rush rooms and guest service equipment.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate efficiently all housekeeping work with related departments such as Front Office and Facilities.
  • Conduct random inventory audits and order supplies as necessary.
  • Generate monthly reports identifying current and budgeted cost of Chemicals, Equipment and Supplies.
  • Compile and file daily housekeeping reports, including forwarding any necessary reports to management.
  • Perform Lost & Found duties according to hotel standards.
  • Perform other housekeeping duties as requested from management.
  • Communicates effectively with the Executive Housekeeper about activities progress and issues if any.

Requirements: 

 

  • This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of three years job-related experience.
  • Previous hotel/resort and opening experience a plus.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual skills a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work the majority of shift on feet.
  • Frequently is required to talk or hear.
