Description:
Scope of Work:
This position is for project support on a new product launch. It will be a new shelving project that will require more engineering hours than they can absorb internally. The shelving project will work alongside electrical engineering and mechanical engineering to design a product composed of mechanical parts as well as electrical plumbing. It will be a design and release of the product line into Cargo vehicles, custom outfitted by customer.
Day To Day:
-80% Design: Computer aided Design in Solidworks, Designing brackets, sheet metal components, fabrication and metal bended products. Detailing parts and using GD&T
-10% RFQ intake, Working with PE's on delivery dates
-10% Internal/customer meetings

Solidworks, Design, Sheet metal, Part Design, Fabrication, Steel, Mechanical, BOM RFQ, GD&T, FEA
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have:
-3+ Years Solidworks Experience (2D and 3D design experience, ability to work comfortably with the functions in Solidworks)
-Experience with Material Bent Parts or Brake pressed part design
Nice to Have:
-Experience using FEA simulation
-GD&T
-Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Experience Level:
Intermediate Level
