Opportunity

Join Kohler's Bathroom Design Service's team! This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Kohler's virtual design team working with end consumers from across North America to deliver turnkey bathroom designs.

A Bathroom Designer will be able to work independently and will be results driven and responsible for driving top-line sales through consistent achievement of personal sales targets and goals set by leadership. This position is focused on providing excellent customer service with creative design solutions for all projects resulting in product orders and gracious customer experiences.

The Bathroom Designer assists in developing and delivering training and in-market activities to foster and maintain close relationships with the Kohler Signature Stores and internal Kohler partners. Success in this position will be measured through the achievement of Net Product Sales goals as well as measured through post-service Net Promotor Score (NPS).

Specific Responsibilities
  • Work with end customers to deliver a complete bathroom design comprised of Kohler, Kallista, Robern, Sterling & Ann Sacks products.
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout the design process, resulting in product sales and positive NPS ratings.
  • Maintain relationships with Kohler's inside sales team & Kohler Signature Stores Associates.
  • Engage in outreach to potential Bathroom Design clients through BDS' lead tools including brief consultation with potential customers via phone, email, chat or virtual meeting to develop and grow client acquisition.
  • Participate in virtual and on-site training sessions with Kohler Signature Store teams & the Kohler's Inside Sales team, developing trust and camaraderie amongst teams.
  • Partner with team leader to develop and evolve the bathroom design process as necessary to continue growing the business.

  • Drive product sales to meet and exceed individual and team sales plans.
  • Provide high quality customer service to assigned design clients.
  • Pursue leads to generate new business.
  • Conduct daily follow-up to all bathroom design projects.
  • Participate in planning and execution of virtual and in-market events.
  • Understand how to win as a team and brings forth a team mentality.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service:
  • Provide prompt, friendly service to every bathroom design client.
  • Understand the balance between providing exceptional customer service and doing the right thing for Kohler Co.
  • Drive repeat customers by going above and beyond to connect with customers in a meaningful and personal way.
  • Continually develop sales skills and product knowledge:
  • Develop and maintain strong product & technical knowledge base across Kohler plumbing products.
  • Develop product knowledge across the Kohler family of businesses.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset by challenging status quo in a productive manner and making recommendations for process improvements. Carries recommendations from inception to implementation.
  • Participate in training activities, including product knowledge presentations and online learning, to supplement product knowledge.
  • Complete training courses to continually develop and hone presentation and sales skills.


Skills/Requirements

  • Prior design & sales experience required with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience in a high-end sales / service industry preferred.
  • Strong preference given to prior sales experience in interior or architectural design or luxury retail sales.
  • Candidate must be capable of creating and communicating design & product solutions in a timely manner and articulate why to buy from Kohler.
  • College degree or certificate in interior design preferred but not required. Will consider relevant design experience in lieu of degree.

The salary range for this position is $63,100 - $79,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
