2024/2025 School Year - Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity Available - Opelousas, Louisiana

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for full-time positions within school districts in the Opelousas, LA area during the 2024-2025 School Year. Requirements:

• Valid Louisiana Occupational Therapist license.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to special education and occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' identified needs and goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation in educational activities and routines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress reports, and therapy interventions.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on students' occupational therapy needs and goals.
