Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Topeka, KS. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students overe barriers to learning and participation through therapeutic interventions and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth in motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students' occupational therapy needs within the school setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to promote students' success and inclusion in educational activities.
  • Provide direct services, consultation, and ongoing support to students, teachers, and staff to facilitate skill development and independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress reports, and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of current research and trends in occupational therapy practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student goals.
