Wood Worker Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
Build walls and trusses for houses from raw materials or pre-constructed items
Install cabinets
Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
Wood Worker Shift Info
Day Shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Monday - Friday
Wood Worker Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
Wood Worker experience preferred
Attendance and timeliness is a MUST
Must have steel toed or composite shoes, framing hammer, measuring tape and belt loop holder, safety vest and safety glasses
Inside work, no weather exposure
Able to work in the US
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
2+ years of professional carpentry experience a plus
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity, must be able to lift 50 lbs
Able to pass a background check - background friendly with no violent or sexual crimes
Able to work in the US.
