Job Description: BlazerJobs, in partnership with a respected school district in Craftsbury Common, VT, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide support to students with communication disorders. This is a full-time position offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to facilitate speech and language development.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with the supervising SLP and other team members.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
