Job Description

Provides administrative and technical assistance to the Vice President Human Resources as well as administers all employee benefit programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Answers inquiries on employment verifications, benefits claims processing and job openings.

2.       Verifies unemployment insurance claims.

3..      Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations.

4.       Ensures proper completion of paperwork (I-9, W-4, employment applications, benefits enrollment forms, etc.).

5.       Respond to agency correspondence (unemployment compensation, worker’s compensation, etc.).

6.       Arranges for completion and submission of all benefit enrollment forms (new hires, benefit change forms and LOA paperwork).

7.       Verifies calculation of monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies.

8.       Prepares weekly or monthly health insurance listings (additions, deletions, etc.).

9.       Tracks COBRA application process and ensures compliance.

10.    Conducts exit interviews relating to COBRA rights, retirement disbursement and rollovers.

Qualifications:

1.       At least two years college, plus additional courses or seminars related to benefits administration.

2.       Two (2) to four (4) years in benefits or related clerical or administration duties.

3.       Knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures.

4.       Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5.       Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
