Pest Management Service Manager

Purpose

The Pest Management Service Manager must provide a helpful and instructive environment for the field service team while professionally addressing all customer questions or concerns and ensuring all services are completed by month's end.

Key Responsibilities for our Pest Management Service Manager

  • Establish and monitor chemical distribution and usage by route.
  • Anticipate problems and act quickly to fix them when they happen.
  • Schedule field work and monitor efficiency, completion, and quality.
  • Promote obtaining leads and encourage the field service team to sell.
  • Ensure quality control audit issues are resolved to customers' satisfaction.
  • Keep the operations director apprised of important issues with customers.
  • Ensure the field service team completes all of the required training.
  • Maintain documentation related to field services, credentials, and training.
  • Monitors the look of the service team and vehicles to ensure professionalism.
  • Inspects vehicles to ensure compliance with the company inspection checklist.
  • Keeps field service team up to date with new materials and methods.
  • Reviews service-related paperwork and time records to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensures records required by payroll are accurate and submitted when expected.
  • Oversees callbacks and emergency visits to ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Regularly spends time with service team members in the field.
  • Takes corrective actions with service team members when appropriate.

Requirements / Preferences for our Pest Management Service Manager

  • NYSDEC 7A, 7F, 7C (required)
  • Two-year college degree (or higher preferred)
  • Able to learn and use PestPac software for scheduling and reporting.
  • Five years experience in pest control or a similar route-based service industry.
  • Five years of successful operations/leadership experience.
  • Results-oriented, assertive, accountable, and goal-driven.
  • Passionate about quality service and developing new business.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and overtime (40 to 60 hours per week)
  • Can travel within the home community daily and out of town occasionally.
  • A valid driver's license (required).
  • Create, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures.
  • Business development and retention skills.
  • Experience hiring, training, and supervising field service technicians.
  • Skilled in managing business operations.
