About this job

Responsible for applying precision spray coatings on machined parts and manufactured product in a manner consistent with Gov., Customer, and In-House specifications.

Essential functions (What)
  • Responsible for setting-up all paint jobs to include material handling, mixing, equipment maintenance and cleanup
  • Responsible for accuracy of own work
  • Use inspection gauges and equipment to check work
  • Assist in application of masking techniques and practices
  • Fill out required regulated paperwork and required documentation
  • Complete all required training
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Skills/Knowledge/behaviors (How)
    • Basic hand tools and knowledge of their use
    • Capable of maintaining consistent quality standards
    • Produce product within acceptable time allocated per operation
    • Ability to follow instructions
    • Spray guns, i.e., conventional, pressure pot, HVLP, airless, air brush, etc.
    • Thickness gauge
