Cardiovascular Operating Room - Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required.

• 36 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required.

• Experience with Meditech is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license prior to placement start.

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Must take call up to every other weekend and 3 weekdays per week.

No self-scheduling, we do allow employee to work together to determine call shifts.

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Evening and night shift call is required, call shifts are 8 hour shifts. Call is required and shift is rotating

Weekend/Call Requirements: Call is 8 hour shifts, must be available to work all shifts. Call is required and shift is rotating

Holiday/Call Requirements : Rotational on call requirements

What is call response time: 30 minutes

Guaranteed Hours 36

Floating Requirements: If not needed in Surgery, may be required to float to Endoscopy

Common Cases: Cardiovascular. General surgery, orthopedic, GYN, Urology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Plastic Surgery

Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Cardiovascular exp required.

Required: Minimum of solid 3-5 years’ experience who can scrub and circulate

2 year break between perm at WVU and travel

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Will wear scrubs from surgery vending machine

Unit/Department specific orientation: Will orient on unit for 2-4 shifts

2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type)
